1/2 cup | 99g / 3.5oz | Margarine |
1/2 cup | 55g / 1.9oz | Semisweet chocolate pieces |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Instant coffee crystals |
3/4 cup | 148g / 5.2oz | Sugar |
3/4 cup | 120g / 4.2oz | Brown sugar - (packed) |
2 | Eggs | |
2 teaspoons | 10ml | Vanilla |
2 cups | 125g / 4.4oz | All-purpose flour |
1/3 cup | 36g / 1.3oz | Unsweetened cocoa powder |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Baking powder |
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Salt |
1 cup | 110g / 3.9oz | Semisweet chocolate pieces |
In a large saucepan melt margarine and 1/2 cup chocolate pieces over low heat. Remove from heat. Stir in coffee crystals; cool 5 minutes. Stir in sugars, eggs and vanilla.
In medium mixing bowl, combine flour, cocoa powder, baking powder and salt. Stir into coffee mixture. Stir in the 1 cup chocolate pieces. Drop dough by rounded tablespoons onto lightly greased cookie sheets. Bake in a 350 degree oven 10 minutes. Let cool 1 minute before removing from sheets.
