1/3 cup | 78ml | Catsup |
1/4 cup | 36g / 1.3oz | Chopped pickled pepper |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Pickle relish |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Chopped onions |
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Poppy seeds |
4 | Frankfurters - fully cooked | |

Whole pickled peppers are an easy accompaniment to this jumbo frank.
In a small bowl, combine catsup, pickled peppers, relish, onion and poppy seed. Set aside.
To cook by direct grill method: Grill frankfurters on the grill rack of an uncovered grill directly over medium coals for 8 minutes. Turn frankfurters and brush with some of the catsup mixture. Grill for 6 to 8 minutes more, or until heated through.
To cook by indirect grill method: In a covered grill arrange preheated coals around a drip pan. Test for medium heat above pan. Place frankfurters on the grill rack over the drip pan. cover and grill for 15 to 20 minutes, or until heated through, brushing occasionally with some of the catsup mixture.
To serve, split and toast cut sides of buns on the grill. Serve frankfurters in the buns and top each with remaining catsup mixture.
