Broccoli Noodle Stir Fry Recipe - Cooking Index
3 oz | 85g | Chicken oriental noodle mix |
2 teaspoons | 10ml | Cornstarch |
1 1/2 teaspoons | 7.5ml | Soy sauce, low sodium |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Rice vinegar |
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Red pepper flakes - crushed |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Toasted sesame oil |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Cooking oil |
4 cups | 584g / 20oz | Broccoli flowerets |
Carrots, bias-sliced 1/4" thick - (optional) |
Break noodles into pieces, reserved seasoning packet. Place noodles in a 1-quart microwave-safe casserole. Add 1 cup warm water. Micro-cook, uncovered, on 100% power (high) for 2 1/2 to 3 minutes, or until noodles are softened, stirring twice; drain.
For sauce, in a small bowl combine seasoning packet, 2/3 cup cold water, cornstarch, soy sauce, vinegar, and red pepper. Set aside.
In a large skillet heat sesame and cooking oil over medium-high heat. Add broccoli; stir-fry 3 to 4 minutes, or until crisp-tender. Stir sauce; add sauce and noodles to skillet. Cook and stir until bubbly; cook and stir 1 minute more.
