Western North Carolina Style Barbecue Sauce - 2

Recipe Ingredients

12 oz	340g	Canned tomatoes
2 cups	474ml	Water
6 oz	170g	Tomato paste
2		Dried chile peppers
1/2 cup	118ml	Ketchup
2 tablespoons	30ml	Worcestershire sauce
2 teaspoons	10ml	Chili powder
		Two lemons - juice of
1/4 cup	59ml	Wine vinegar
2 1/2 teaspoons	12ml	Salt
1/4 teaspoon	1.3ml	Tabasco sauce
2 tablespoons	30ml	Black pepper
1		Onion - chopped
1		Garlic
2		Bay leaves
1/2 lb	227g / 8oz	Butter
2 teaspoons	10ml	Dry mustard

Recipe Instructions

Simmer all 30 minutes. Strain and cool.
