Texas Barbecue Sauce - 2 Recipe - Cooking Index
5 oz | 142g | Worcestershire sauce |
2 cups | 474ml | Water |
1 cup | 237ml | Apple cider vinegar |
3/4 cup | 177ml | Lemon juice |
1/4 cup | 59ml | Vegetable oil |
1/4 cup | 40g / 1.4oz | Brown sugar - firmly packed |
2 teaspoons | 10ml | Salt |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Garlic salt |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Black pepper - ground |
Combine all the ingredients in a medium saucepan and bring to the boiling point.
Reduce the heat and simmer, uncovered, for 10 minutes.
Cool and pour into a tightly covered container.
This sauce will keep, refrigerated, for several weeks.
Use for chicken, hamburgers or steak.
Makes 4 cups of sauce
