Savory Chicken Barbecue Sauce Recipe - Cooking Index
1/2 cup | 118ml | Corn oil |
1 1/4 cups | 296ml | Water |
1/4 cup | 15g / 0.5oz | Onion - chopped fine |
2 | Garlic clove -- | |
Crushed/chopped | ||
1 1/2 teaspoons | 7.5ml | Sugar |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Salt |
1 1/2 teaspoons | 7.5ml | Chili powder |
1 1/2 teaspoons | 7.5ml | Paprika |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Pepper |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Dry mustard |
1 | Cayenne - to taste | |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Vinegar |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Worcestershire sauce |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Tabasco sauce |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Corn starch and water |
Combine all ingredients except corn starch, simmer 30 min.
To thicken add slurry of corn starch and water, let cool.
Marinate chicken 1hour and baste while Barbecuing. Serve chicken with sour cream.
