Johnny Rebel Sauce

Serves: 4 people

Recipe Ingredients

2 tablespoons 30mlButter
1   Onions
1 cup 237mlTomato juice
1 teaspoon 5mlDijon mustard
1 tablespoon 15mlBrown sugar
1 tablespoon 15mlLemon juice
1 tablespoon 15mlCider vinegar
1/4 cup 59mlWater
1 tablespoon 15mlChili powder
1/2 teaspoon 2.5mlCayenne pepper
1   Cloves
1/2 teaspoon 2.5mlSalt
1/8 teaspoon 0.6mlBlack pepper

Recipe Instructions

Melt butter in medium saucepan over medium-low heat. Finely chop onion and add. Cook five minutes. Stir in remaining ingredients and heat to boiling, then reduce heat.

Simmer uncovered for thirty minutes. For beef, poultry, or pork
