Joan Lowder's Q Sauce Recipe - Cooking Index
1 lb | 454g / 16oz | Margarine [or less] |
3 | Durkee's sauce | |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Prepared mustard |
3 | Lemons | |
3/4 cup | 177ml | Sweet pickle vinegar |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Sugar |
Salt & pepper to taste | ||
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Worcestershire sauce |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Ketchup |
3 | Water [use Durkee bottles] | |
1/4 cup | 59ml | Mayonnaise |
Mix all together. Cut lemons in halve add to other ingredients and heat on low, stirring often, until margarine is melted & everything is well blended.
Dip chicken or pork into sauce the last 15 minutes of grilling.
Save some for "dipping" at the table. Of all the recipes i have made this one receives the most praise.
