Hobbes' North Carolina Barbecue Sauce Recipe - Cooking Index
1 cup | 237ml | Apple cider vinegar |
2 teaspoons | 10ml | Red pepper |
3/4 cup | 177ml | Water |
1 | Sugar | |
2/3 cup | 41g / 1.4oz | Minced onions |
1 | Bay leaf | |
1 | Garlic - crushed | |
2/3 teaspoon | 3.3ml | Thyme |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Salt |
3 tablespoons | 45ml | Peanut oil |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Black pepper |
Combine all the ingredients in a small saucepan.
Bring to a rapid boil, then simmer for 5 minutes.
Remove from heat, cool, and store your bottle in the frig.
You can play around with the ingredients but the vinegar and red pepper are the main jewels.
NOTES : warning, may cause you to babble in strange tongues
