Georgia Peach Barbecue Sauce For Chicken Recipe - Cooking Index
2 cups | 474ml | Ketchup |
1 cup | 237ml | Peach preserves - pureed |
1/2 cup | 80g / 2.8oz | Brown sugar - packed |
1/3 cup | 78ml | White vinegar |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Clover honey |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Worcestershire sauce |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Peachtree schnapps - (optional) |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Onion salt |
2 teaspoons | 10ml | Black pepper |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Granulated garlic |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Ground ginger |
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Ground clove |
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Ground mace |
1/2 | Butter - cubed and well chilled |
In a saucepan, combine the brown sugar, onion salt, pepper, garlic, ginger, clove, and mace.
Dissolve the spices with the vinegar, Worcestershire sauce and schnapps.
Stir in the rest of the ingredients, except the butter. Bring to a boil.
As soon as it reaches a low boil, reduce the heat and simmer for 30 minutes. With a wire whisk, blend in the butter, until incorporated, and serve
Makes about a quart.
