Georgia Peach Barbecue Sauce For Chicken

Recipe Ingredients

2 cups 474mlKetchup
1 cup 237mlPeach preserves - pureed
1/2 cup 80g / 2.8ozBrown sugar - packed
1/3 cup 78mlWhite vinegar
2 tablespoons 30mlClover honey
2 tablespoons 30mlWorcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon 15mlPeachtree schnapps - (optional)
1 tablespoon 15mlOnion salt
2 teaspoons 10mlBlack pepper
1 teaspoon 5mlGranulated garlic
1 teaspoon 5mlGround ginger
1/4 teaspoon 1.3mlGround clove
1/4 teaspoon 1.3mlGround mace
1/2   Butter - cubed and well chilled

Recipe Instructions

In a saucepan, combine the brown sugar, onion salt, pepper, garlic, ginger, clove, and mace.

Dissolve the spices with the vinegar, Worcestershire sauce and schnapps.

Stir in the rest of the ingredients, except the butter. Bring to a boil.

As soon as it reaches a low boil, reduce the heat and simmer for 30 minutes. With a wire whisk, blend in the butter, until incorporated, and serve

Makes about a quart.

This is a peach barbecue sauce for chicken.
