| 1 cup | 237ml | Ketchup | 
| 1/2 cup | 118ml | Cider vinegar | 
| 1 tablespoon | 15ml | Yellow mustard | 
| 3 tablespoons | 45ml | Lemon juice | 
| 1 tablespoon | 15ml | Worcestershire sauce | 
| 2 teaspoons | 10ml | Soy sauce | 
| 1/2 cup | 118ml | To 2/3 bourbon | 
| 1 tablespoon | 15ml | Garlic powder | 
| 1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Dry mustard | 
| 1/4 cup | 49g / 1.7oz | Honey or sugar | 
| 1 tablespoon | 15ml | Lemon pepper | 
| 1 teaspoon | 5ml | Cayenne pepper | 
| 1 teaspoon | 5ml | Salt | 
| 1 teaspoon | 5ml | Msg - (optional) | 
| 1 teaspoon | 5ml | Mrs. Dash salt-free seasoning | 
| 1 teaspoon | 5ml | Cumin - ground | 
In a saucepan, combine the ketchup, vinegar, honey, mustard, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, and soy sauce . Stir well and bring to a simmer over medium-high heat. In a small bowl or glass jar with a lid, combine the lemon pepper, garlic powder, cayenne, salt, MSG, Mrs. Dash, cumin and dry mustard. Stir or shake to blend.
Add a third of the dry ingredients to the sauce in the pan and stir and simmer for 2-3 minutes. Add another third of the dry ingredients and stir and cook for another 2-3 minutes. Add the remaining third and simmer for about 20 minutes.
Add the bourbon and stir well. Reduce heat to low, cover and cook for 1 hour until the flavors blend and the sauce is thickened. Use immediately or allow to sit in refrigerator for 24 hours before use.
