Triple L Bar-B-Que Sauce Recipe - Cooking Index
1 lb | 454g / 16oz | Margarine, or less |
3 lbs | 1362g / 48oz | Bottle Durkee's sauce (small) |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Prepared mustard |
3 | Lemons | |
3/4 cup | 177ml | Sweet pickle vinegar |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Sugar |
Salt and pepper to taste | ||
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Worcestershire sauce |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Ketchup |
3 | Bottles water, use Durkee bottles | |
1/4 cup | 59ml | Mayonnaise |
Mix all together. Cut lemons in half add to other ingredients and heat on low, stirring often, until margarine is melted and everything is well blended.
Dip chicken or pork into sauce the last 15 minutes of grilling. Save some for "dipping" at the table.
Of all the recipes I have made this one receives the most praise. One lady said "it taste so good, it makes you want to get up and dance."
