Southern Style Barbecued Rib Sauce

Recipe Ingredients

  Secret Sauce
1   Bottle ketchup
2/3   Jar prepared yellow mustard - (i.E. French's) (small)
1/2 lb 227g / 8ozDark brown sugar
1/3 lb 151g / 5.3ozOnion - chopped coarsely (large)
3 tablespoons 45mlDistilled white vinegar
2 tablespoons 30mlLemons - sliced (large)
  Tabasco hot sauce to taste (3 drops to 1/2 tsp.
  Ground black pepper to taste - (lots of it)
  No salt plenty in the ketchup)

Recipe Instructions

Simmer the sauce, stirring until the sugar is melted. Then, stir occasionally for a few minutes while the oil is drawn out of the lemon. Do not allow to scorch. Remove from heat and set aside.
