South Carolina Mustard Barbecue Sauce Recipe - Cooking Index
| 2/3 cup | 157ml | Yellow mustard |
| 1/2 cup | 99g / 3.5oz | Sugar |
| 1 cup | 237ml | Cider vinegar |
| 2 tablespoons | 30ml | Chili powder |
| 1 teaspoon | 5ml | Black pepper |
| 1 teaspoon | 5ml | White pepper |
| 1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Cayenne pepper |
| 5 | Tabasco - or to taste | |
| 1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Soy sauce |
| 2 tablespoons | 30ml | Butter |
Combine all ingredients except soy sauce and butter in a saucepan and simmer for 10 minutes. Remove from heat. Stir in soy sauce and butter. Use as a basting sauce for barbecuing or as a condiment for grilled pork or chicken.
