South Carolina Barbecue Hash Recipe - Cooking Index
3 lbs | 1362g / 48oz | Boneless stewing beef, cubed |
1/4 lb | 113g / 4oz | Margarine |
1/4 cup | 40g / 1.4oz | Brown sugar |
1/2 cup | 118ml | Vinegar |
2 | Lemon | |
2 | Onions (medium) | |
3 | Tbs. Prepared mustard | |
3 | Tbs. Worcestershire sauce | |
1/2 cup | 118ml | Catsup |
2 cups | 474ml | Water or beef broth |
Cook beef; combine butter, sugar, vinegar, lemon, onions, and mustard in broth. Cook 20 minutes or until onions are done. Add beef, Worcestershire sauce, catsup, and salt to taste. Let simmer 40 minutes.
