Smoked Fish Cakes

Recipe Ingredients

2 cups 474mlFlaked - smoked fish
2 1/2 cups 592mlGrated raw potatoes or 2 cup cooked and mashed
1/2 cup 31g / 1.1ozChopped onion
2 tablespoons 30mlButter or margarine
1/2 teaspoon 2.5mlSalt
1/4 cup 36g / 1.3ozChopped parsley - (optional)
1   Pepper
1   Egg - beaten
  Fat for frying

Recipe Instructions

Cook onion in butter until tender. Combine cooked or grated potatoes and onion. Add flaked fish, salt, pepper, parsley, and egg. Mix well. Form into cakes and roll in bread crumbs. Fry in hot fat till golden on both sides.
