Jerk Beef Recipe - Cooking Index
2 lbs | 908g / 32oz | Beef, diced in 1 inch cubes |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Soy sauce |
2/3 cup | 41g / 1.4oz | Crushed tomatoes |
5 oz | 142g | Onions - chopped |
1 1/2 oz | 42g | Green onions - chopped |
1 oz | 28g | Banana peppers - chopped |
1 1/2 teaspoons | 7.5ml | Garlic - minced |
2 1/2 teaspoons | 12ml | Black pepper |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Tabasco sauce |
2 teaspoons | 10ml | Allspice |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Salt |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Thyme |
Trim fat from meat. Mix all other ingredients.
Marinate meat in mixture 24 hours in fridge. Drain most of marinade.
Saute meat with a little of marinade until brown and cooked.
[Recipe Editor, you can also thread the beef on bamboo or metal skewers and grill over medium hot coals on the grill.
Serve with fluffy white rice.
