1/3 cup | 78ml | Yellow mustard |
3 cups | 711ml | Water |
1 1/2 cups | 355ml | Cider vinegar |
1/4 cup | 82g / 2.9oz | Dark corn syrup |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Lemon juice |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Sugar |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Brown sugar - packed |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Chili powder |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Dry mustard |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Paprika |
2 teaspoons | 10ml | Ground red pepper |
2 teaspoons | 10ml | Onion powder |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Salt |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Ground black pepper |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Garlic powder |
In a large saucepan, whisk together tomato puree and mustard until smooth. Stir in remaining ingredients and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low and simmer 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. Serve warm. Sauce may be refrigerated for several weeks.
