Cabbage With Milk

Recipe Ingredients

1 1/2 lbs 681g / 24ozCabbage
2 lbs 908g / 32ozOnion - finely chopped (medium)
2   Green chiles
8   Curry leaves
1 cup 237mlMilk - (half 'n half)
1/4 cup 59mlOil
1/4 teaspoon 1.3mlMustard seeds
1 teaspoon 5mlBengal gram
1/2 teaspoon 2.5mlRed chile powder
1/4 tablespoon 3.8mlTurmeric
  Salt - to taste

Recipe Instructions

Heat oil in a skillet and when oil is hot add mustard seeds and Bengal gram. When mustard seeds start popping add chopped onion, green chile, salt, turmeric and red chile powder.

Fry until onion turns translucent. Now add finely chopped cabbage and fry on medium heat for 15 minutes.

Next add milk and let cook on medium heat for 4-5 minutes or until milk thickens slightly.

Goes well with plain white rice, puri, paratha and chapathi.
