1 | Onion - minced (small) | |
3/4 teaspoon | 3.8ml | Prepared mustard |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Grated fresh horseradish |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Mixed thyme - marjoram, parsley |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Vinegar |
3 cups | 711ml | Water |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Worcestershire sauce |
2/3 cup | 131g / 4.6oz | Butter |
1/2 cup | 118ml | Ketchup |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Juice from bottled Tabasco peppers |
2 teaspoons | 10ml | Sugar |
3/4 teaspoon | 3.8ml | Chili powder |
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Black pepper |
3/4 teaspoon | 3.8ml | Salt |
Combine all ingredients and cook slowly for 45 minutes. Use to baste meat or fish while cooking, or dip slices or chunks of hot cooked meet into the heated sauce before serving.
