Savory Burgers | ||
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Savory |
Red Hot Burgers | ||
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Crushed hot red pepper |
Oriental Burgers | ||
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Ginger |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Lemon zest |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Soy sauce |
Sesame Burgers | ||
1/4 cup | 27g / 1oz | Toasted sesame seeds |
Hot N Tangy Burgers | ||
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Season all - seasoned salt |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Barbeque spice |
Dill Burgers | ||
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Crushed dill seed |
1/4 cup | 36g / 1.3oz | Chopped olives or - sweet pickles |
Herb Burgers | ||
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Marjoram |
1/8 teaspoon | 0.6ml | Thyme |
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Celery salt |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Parsley flakes |
Chili Cheese Burgers | ||
1 cup | 146g / 5.1oz | Grated cheese |
1/4 cup | 59ml | Milk |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Chili powder |
Spice Burgers | ||
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Dry mustard |
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Nutmeg - ground |
The Basic Burger Mix will yield 4 burgers. Add the following herbs and spices to create variations on the basic burgers Place into smoker/cooker (I use a water cooker) with the water pan filled with cold water or ice. Allow the smoker to obtain cooking temperature, 180-250F.
Smoke/cook approximately 1 hour per side.(Total cooking time is approximately 2-2 1/2 hours.)
Slop with favorite bbq sauce during the last 1/2 hour of cooking.
We make up a weeks supply of these at a time. They are absolutely delicious...
