1 | Garlic - minced | |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Vegetable oil |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Onion - chopped (medium) |
1 lb | 454g / 16oz | Ground chuck |
1/2 cup | 118ml | Tomato juice |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Brown sugar |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Worcestershire sauce |
2 teaspoons | 10ml | Seasoned salt |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Kitchen bouquet |
1/8 teaspoon | 0.6ml | Cayenne pepper |
In a large skillet over medium heat -- saute garlic in oil until it begins to brown.
Add onion and saute until soft. Add meat -- stirring constantly with a fork to crumble as finely as possible.
When meat is brown -- add all remaining ingredients and simmer -- uncovered -- stirring occasionally until the liquid cooks out (about 15-20 minutes).
Spoon onto hamburger buns
