Boston Baked Beans Recipe - Cooking Index
4 cups | 640g / 22oz | Navy beans |
4 tablespoons | 60ml | Brown sugar |
3 teaspoons | 15ml | Salt |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Dry mustard |
1 | Onion - chopped | |
1/2 lb | 227g / 8oz | Salt pork |
Soak beans overnight.
Drain, cover with fresh water.
Bring to boil, simmer until tender, drain. Pour 1/2 of beans into bean pot.
Combine remaining ingredients and add to pot. Pour in remaining beans.
Cover with boiling water and bake 8 hours at 250F. Watch and add more water if necessary.
