1 teaspoon | 5ml | Egg (large) |
1 | Beer | |
1 3/4 cups | 109g / 3.8oz | Flour |
1 1/2 teaspoons | 7.5ml | Baking powder |
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Salt |
6 teaspoons | 30ml | Onions (medium) |
Mix flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside. Mix beer and egg. Add dry ingredients gently to the beer-egg mixture. Stir to blend. Slice onions 1/4 inch thick and separate into rings. Dip onion rings in batter. Fry 2 to 3 minutes in hot oil. Drain. Keep warm in a 250F oven.
