Wine Fruit Cup

Recipe Ingredients

1 1/2 cups 355mlWhite wine - dry
1 tablespoon 15mlLemon juice
1/4 teaspoon 1.3mlSalt
1/2 cup 80g / 2.8ozRaisins - golden seedless
2   Nectarines - sliced
1/2 cup 99g / 3.5ozSugar
1 1/2 teaspoons 7.5mlAnise seed
1   Cinnamon stick - small
4   Purple plums - sliced

Recipe Instructions

In an enameled or stainless steel saucepan, combine the wine, sugar, lemon juice, anise seed, salt and sinnamon stick and bring to a boil. Turn off heat and cool to room temperature.

Combine the raisins, plums, and peaches in a bowl and strain the cooled wine syrup over them. Cover and refrigerate for several hours, stirring occasionally. NOTE: This fruit cup can be served as a dessert also.
