Tomato And Herb Bruschetta - Bon Appetit Recipe - Cooking Index
1 1/2 lbs | 681g / 24oz | Plum tomatoes - halved, seeded, chopped |
1/3 cup | 13g / 0.5oz | Chopped fresh basil leaves |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Chopped garlic |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Chopped fresh oregano leaves |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Balsamic vinegar |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Olive oil |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Fresh lemon juice |
6 1/2 | -- crusty bread, toasted, up to 3/4-inch-thick |
Mix first 7 ingredients in bowl. Season to taste with salt and pepper. (Tomato mixture can be prepared 2 hours ahead. Let stand at room temperature.)
Cut toasted bread in half. Spoon tomato mixture atop bread and serve.
