Texas Pecan Cheese Balls Recipe - Cooking Index
1/2 lb | 227g / 8oz | Grated sharp cheddar cheese |
1/8 teaspoon | 0.6ml | Salt |
1/4 cup | 49g / 1.7oz | Butter - melted |
3/4 cup | 46g / 1.6oz | All-purpose flour |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Paprika |
1 cup | 146g / 5.1oz | Pecan halves |
Mix all ingredients well except the pecans, kneading with hands, if necessary. Form dough into small balls. Press the center of each ball with thumb. Insert a pecan half into thumb imprint and bring dough up around pecan.
Place on a cookie sheet; bake at 375F for 12 to 15 minutes until lightly browned. Serve hot.
