Stuffed French Bread - 1

Recipe Ingredients

8 oz 227gGrated sharp cheddar cheese
1 tablespoon 15mlSoft butter or margarine
1   Crab meat - drained and flaked
4   Green onions - chopped (medium)
  Mayonnaise - to moisten
3 tablespoons 45mlChopped fresh parsley
1/4 cup 36g / 1.3ozFinely chopped pecans
1 cup 237mlLoaf French bread - sliced lengthwise (large)

Recipe Instructions

Preheat oven to 350F.

In a food processor or blender, mix the cheese and butter until smooth. Remove enough of the French bread to make a shallow trench in each half. Cover each with cheese mixture.

In a bowl, mix the crab meat and onions with enough mayonnaise to moisten.

Spread over the cheese. Place the bread on a cookie sheet; bake until bubbly, about 15 to 20 minutes.

Sprinkle with parsley and pecans. Cut into serving pieces.

Serve hot.
