Spinach Meatballs Recipe - Cooking Index
1 1/2 lbs | 681g / 24oz | Lean ground beef |
1/2 cup | 31g / 1.1oz | Chopped onion |
1 | Egg | |
1/4 cup | 36g / 1.3oz | Grated parmesan cheese |
1 | Frozen chopped spinach - thawed and drained | |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Salt |
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Pepper |
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Garlic powder |
1 cup | 237ml | Beef broth |
1 | Tomato sauce | |
1/2 cup | 118ml | Dry red wine |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Cornstarch |
Mix all ingredients, form small balls, place in 1 1/2 quart casserole.
Mix broth, tomato sauce, wine and cornstarch. Pour over meatballs. Bake at 350F, covered, 40-60 minutes.
Can be served over noodles, or great for parties served in crock pot.
