Bar B Q Sauce | ||
1/2 cup | 118ml | Ketchup |
1/2 cup | 118ml | Water |
2 teaspoons | 10ml | Dijon mustard |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Salt |
2 teaspoons | 10ml | Louisiana hot sauce |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Chili powder |
2 | Garlic cloves - minced | |
1/4 cup | 59ml | Lemon juice |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Brown sugar |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Oil |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Worcestershire sauce |
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Cumin |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Black pepper |
Oil for deep frying |
This BBQ sauce is mild. If you like hotter wings, add more Louisiana hot sauce. In a large heavy saucepan, mix together BBQ sauce ingredients. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes.
In a frying pan or wok, heat oil to 375F.
Deep fry a few wings at a time, until they are cooked through, about 10-15 minutes. Drain fried wings on absorbent towel. when all the wings are cooked, place them in the simmering BBQ sauce. Stir to coat and serve.
