Spiced Mozzarella Recipe - Cooking Index
1 lb | 454g / 16oz | Mozzarella sliced thin |
2 | Garlic finely chopped - ( or jarred) | |
1/4 cup | 59ml | Olive oil |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Dried sweet basil |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Oregano |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Salt and pepper |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Red pepper flakes |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Fresh chopped parsley |
Mix all spices in olive oil. Let stand for about 15 minutes.
Slice cheese as thin as possible and place on a platter over decorative lettuce (red leaf or green leaf) with anchovies and/or roasted peppers.
Pour spiced mixture over cheese and serve with toasted Italian bread.
