Braised Onion Slices With Bourbon Recipe - Cooking Index
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Butter |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Olive oil |
4 | Bermuda onion - sliced 1-inch thick | |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Salt |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Black pepper - freshly ground |
1/4 cup | 59ml | Beef broth - canned or homemade |
1/4 cup | 59ml | Bourbon |
Heat butter and oil. Add onions and sear on high for 2 minutes. Add salt, pepper and broth. Reduce heat and simmer 10 to 12 minutes. Add bourbon and cook down for 3 minutes.
