Sesame Baked Mushrooms

Recipe Ingredients

1 lb 454g / 16ozMedium to large fresh - mushrooms
1   Egg
3/4 teaspoon 3.8mlSalt
1/8 teaspoon 0.6mlGround black pepper
1/2 cup 118mlSesame seed or
1/4 cup 36g / 1.3ozSesame seed and dry - bread crumbs

Recipe Instructions

Preheat oven to 350F.

Rinse, pat dry and trim stems of fresh mushrooms (halve if large).

In a small bowl, lightly beat egg with salt and black pepper. Place sesame seed (or mix) in a small bowl.

Pierce mushrooms with fork. Dip first into egg mixture, then into sesame seed.

Place on a lightly greased jelly-roll pan.

Bake until golden, 15 to 20 minutes. Serve hot. Yield: About 25 hors d'oeuvres
