Sesame Baked Mushrooms Recipe - Cooking Index
1 lb | 454g / 16oz | Medium to large fresh - mushrooms |
1 | Egg | |
3/4 teaspoon | 3.8ml | Salt |
1/8 teaspoon | 0.6ml | Ground black pepper |
1/2 cup | 118ml | Sesame seed or |
1/4 cup | 36g / 1.3oz | Sesame seed and dry - bread crumbs |
Preheat oven to 350F.
Rinse, pat dry and trim stems of fresh mushrooms (halve if large).
In a small bowl, lightly beat egg with salt and black pepper. Place sesame seed (or mix) in a small bowl.
Pierce mushrooms with fork. Dip first into egg mixture, then into sesame seed.
Place on a lightly greased jelly-roll pan.
Bake until golden, 15 to 20 minutes. Serve hot. Yield: About 25 hors d'oeuvres
