Puppy Chow Recipe - Cooking Index
1 | Rice Chex cereal | |
1 | Semisweet chocolate chips | |
1/4 cup | 49g / 1.7oz | Butter or margarine |
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Vanilla extract |
1/2 cup | 99g / 3.5oz | Peanut butter |
1 1/2 cups | 297g / 10oz | Powdered sugar |
Place cereal in a large mixing bowl; set aside. In a saucepan, over low heat, melt chips, butter and peanut butter together, stirring often, until smooth.
Turn off heat and add vanilla; stir well. Pour mixture over cereal and toss gently until evenly coated. In a paper grocery bag, place powdered sugar and then the cereal mixture.
Close the bag and shake gently but thoroughly until pieces are well coated. Store in an airtight container until ready to serve.
