Pimento Cheese Spread Recipe - Cooking Index

| 1 tablespoon | 15ml | Sugar |
| 3 tablespoons | 45ml | Vinegar |
| 1/2 cup | 118ml | Sweet cream |
| 1 tablespoon | 15ml | Flour |
| 1 | Egg - beaten | |
| 1 tablespoon | 15ml | Butter |
| 1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Salt |
| 2 | Eggs; hard-boiled - chopped | |
| 8 oz | 227g | Cream cheese - or 1/2-lb |
| American cheese - cubed | ||
| 1 tablespoon | 15ml | Onion - grated |
| 1 | Pimentos - finely chopped |
Mix first seven ingredients in a double boiler and cook until mixture thickens.
While mixture is still hot add hard-boiled eggs, cream cheese or American cheese, onion and pimentos.
Blend well and put in jars or other containers.
Cover and store in refrigerator.
