Peanut Beef Bundles Recipe - Cooking Index
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Soy sauce |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Rice wine |
2 teaspoons | 10ml | Ginger juice |

1 lb | 454g / 16oz | Round steak - sliced into 1/4-inch wide strips |
1/3 lb | 151g / 5.3oz | Crushed unsalted peanuts |
4 tablespoons | 60ml | Corn starch |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Water |
3 cups | 711ml | Peanut oil - for deep-frying |

Mix the first five ingredients together. Marinade the sliced steak in the seasoning liquid for 15 minutes; drain completely.
Heat 3 cups peanut oil in wok on high.
Combine the corn starch and water. Dip the steak slices into the 'batter' and then 'bread' with slices with a crushed peanut coating.
Deep-fry the steak slices a handful at a time. Drain on paper towling and keep warm until all the slices have been deep-fried.
Serve the beef in individual portions on lettuce leaves.
