Lomi Salmon Recipe - Cooking Index
1/2 lb | 227g / 8oz | Salmon lox - shredded |
2 lbs | 908g / 32oz | Fresh tomatoes - chopped (large) |
1 lb | 454g / 16oz | Maui onion - chopped (small) |
2 | Green onion - chopped | |
1/2 cup | 73g / 2.6oz | Ice - chopped |
Soak the salt salmon in cold water for several hours. Overnight is good. Drain.
Remove the skin and debone the salmon. By hand shred into small pieces.
Add tomatoes and chopped onions and about 1/2 cup of chopped ice.
Lomi, or knead with your hands until everything is in small pieces.
Chill until ready to serve.
