Hummus Recipe - Cooking Index
2 | Garbanzo beans | |
1/2 cup | 118ml | Tahini |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | White vinegar |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Olive oil |
8 oz | 227g | Plain yogurt |
2 | Garlic | |
1/2 cup | 118ml | Water |
Fresh mint | ||
Olives |
Blend all ingredients (except water, mint and olives) in food processor until creamy. Add water as necessary for right texture. Refrigerate for about 2 hours.
Serve on small dish. Make a small well at center of dish in the hummus and add additional olive oil, fresh mint, and olives for decoration and taste. Serve as appetizer with Arabic bread or pita bread for dipping.
