Hot Swiss Cheese Balls Recipe - Cooking Index
3 cups | 438g / 15oz | Grated Swiss cheese |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | All-purpose flour |
4 tablespoons | 60ml | Sherry |
Salt - pepper and paprika, to taste | ||
6 | Egg whites - stiffly beaten | |
Cracker crumbs |
Mix the cheese and flour and add sherry and seasonings.
Beat egg whites as stiff as possible and fold in. Form into 1" balls and roll in cracker crumbs.
Fry in deep hot fat in a frying basket until golden brown. Drain.
Serve with wooden picks to facilitate handling.
