Hot Herby Mushrooms Recipe - Cooking Index
6 tablespoons | 90ml | Butter |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Onion - chopped (large) |
2 teaspoons | 10ml | Basil |
2 teaspoons | 10ml | Oregano |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Thyme |
1/4 cup | 59ml | Lemon juice |
1/2 cup | 118ml | Sherry |
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Red pepper flakes |
3 lbs | 1362g / 48oz | Whole mushrooms - washed |
Turn the slow cooker on high. Melt butter; add onion and saute until onion is limp.
Turn cooker on low. Add spices, lemon juice, sherry and pepper flakes and allow mixture to steep on low for 1 to 2 hours.
Add mushrooms about 15 minutes before guests arrive.
