Holiday Chestnut Spread Recipe - Cooking Index
1 | Lipton vegetable soup mix | |
1 | Ricotta cheese | |
1 | Cream cheese - softened | |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Light rum - (optional) |
1 cup | 237ml | Jarred or canned roasted whole chestnuts |
In food processor, combine vegetable recipe soup mix, cheeses and rum until smooth. Add chestnuts and process until just blended, about 10 seconds. (Do not over process chestnuts.) Turn into 1-quart casserole and bake 20 minutes or until warm. Serve with Suggested Dippers.
Suggested Dippers: Use breadsticks, sliced apples or assorted crackers.
Microwave Directions: In food processor, process as above. Turn into 1-quart microwave-safe casserole. Microwave uncovered at MEDIUM (50% Power) 6 minutes or until heated through, stirring every 2 minutes. Serve as above.
