Balsamic Roasted Onions Recipe - Cooking Index
3 | Sweet onions - (about 1 3/4 pounds) (large) | |

1/4 cup | 59ml | Balsamic vinegar |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Olive oil |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Dried thyme |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Dried basil |
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Salt |
1/8 teaspoon | 0.6ml | Pepper |
Preheat oven to 450F. Peel onions, leaving roots intact; cut each onion into 6 wedges.
Place onion wedges in an 11 x 7-inch baking dish coated with cooking spray. Combine vinegar and remaining ingredients in a small bowl; pour vinegar mixture over onion wedges, tossing gently to coat. Cover and bake at 450for 25 minutes. Uncover and bake an additional 45 minutes or until tender.
