1 cup | 62g / 2.2oz | Quick-cooking oats |
1 cup | 237ml | Milk |
Glaze | ||
2/3 cup | 106g / 3.7oz | Brown sugar |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Dry mustard |
1 cup | 237ml | Orange or pineapple juice |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Flour |
1/3 cup | 109g / 3.8oz | Karo syrup |
Mix ground ham, ground pork, oats and milk. Form into balls. Place in shallow pan. Bake 1 hour at 300F. Drain off fat.
While ham balls are baking prepare the glaze: Mix brown sugar, dry mustard, orange or pineapple juice, flour and syrup in saucepan and cook until slightly thickened. Pour over ham balls and bake an additional 15 minutes.
