Garlic Pita Chips Recipe - Cooking Index
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Butter |
1/2 cup | 118ml | Olive oil |

Melt butter in small saucepan. Add olive oil and garlic to melted butter and saute over low heat for 10 minutes. Split open pita pockets and cut in half. Each pita will make 4 half-moon shapes. With rough side up, lay pita slices on a baking sheet. Brush entire surface with garlic mixture.
Bake in a preheated oven for 10 minutes. Place under broiler for 1 minute, or until golden brown. Remove from oven and place on paper towels to absorb excess oil. Break into 2-inch pieces and serve in a large bowl or towel-lined wicker basket.
Variation: Sprinkle with dried basil or oregano before baking.
