2 | Knox unflavored gelatin | |
1/2 cup | 118ml | Cold water |
1 cup | 237ml | Boiling water |
2 cups | 474ml | Sour cream |
1 cup | 237ml | Wishbone thousand island dressing |
2 | Tuna or salmon - drained and flaked | |
1/4 cup | 15g / 0.5oz | Finely chopped onion |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Dill weed |
In a large bowl, sprinkle gelatin over cold water; let stand 1 minute.
Add boiling water and stir until gelatin is completely dissolved.
With a wire whip or rotary beater, blend in sour cream and thousand island dressing.
Fold in remaining ingredients. Turn into a 6-cup mold or bowl; chill until firm.
Makes about 5 1/2 cups spread.
Note: Recipe can be halved. Turn into a 3-cup mold or bowl. You may also substitute canned shrimp or crabmeat.
