Festive Cheese Ball Recipe - Cooking Index
2 cups | 292g / 10oz | Shredded cheddar cheese |
1 | Cream cheese | |
3 tablespoons | 45ml | Mayonnaise |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Worcestershire sauce |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Sherry extract |
1 | Onion salt | |
1 | Garlic salt | |
1 | Celery salt | |
1/4 cup | 36g / 1.3oz | Chopped ripe olives |
3 tablespoons | 45ml | Minced dried beef |
3 tablespoons | 45ml | Minced fresh parsley |
Combine cheeses, mayonnaise, Worcestershire sauce, sherry extract and onion, garlic and celery salts. Blend until smooth. Add olives. Cover and chill until firm.
Shape cheese mixture into a ball. Combine dried beef and parsley; roll ball in beef and parsley. Cover and chill.
VARIATIONS: For a different taste, substitute finely chopped pecans or chopped ripe olives for dried beef.
