Everybody's Favorite Crab Spread Recipe - Cooking Index
This yummy concoction has seen its way to a lot of holiday parties! Make sure you invite it to yours.
Courses: Dips and Spreads, Starters and appetizers12 oz | 340g | Cream cheese - softened |
1/2 cup | 118ml | Mayonnaise |
2 | Scallions | |
1 1/2 teaspoons | 7.5ml | Dijon mustard |
3/4 teaspoon | 3.8ml | Seasoned salt |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Prepared white horseradish |
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Lemon juice |
1/8 teaspoon | 0.6ml | Hot pepper sauce |
1 | Diced pimiento - - (2 oz), drained | |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Chopped parsley |
3/4 lb | 340g / 11oz | Lump crab meat - picked over |
Crackers or crisp raw vegetables - for serving |
In a medium bowl, combine cream cheese and mayonnaise. Mix until well blended. Stir in scallions, mustard, seasoned salt, horseradish, lemon juice, and hot sauce. Mix until well blended.
Fold in pimiento, parsley, and crab. Cover and refrigerate for 2 hours or as long as 2 days. Serve with crackers or crisp raw vegetables. This recipe yields 8 servings.
