1/3 cup | 65g / 2.3oz | Butter or margarine |
1/3 cup | 65g / 2.3oz | Shortening |
1/2 cup | 80g / 2.8oz | Brown sugar |
1/2 cup | 99g / 3.5oz | White sugar |
1 | Egg | |
2 teaspoons | 10ml | Vanilla |
1 1/2 cups | 93g / 3.3oz | All purpose flour |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Baking soda |
1/2 cup | 118ml | Wheat germ |
1/2 cup | 73g / 2.6oz | Chopped nuts - (we usually use, walnuts) |
1/2 cup | 46g / 1.6oz | Coconut |
1 | Semi-sweet chocolate - chips |
Preheat the oven to 375F.
Cream the butter and shortening, add the sugars and beat until light and fluffy.
Add egg and vanilla, mix well, then add remaining ingredients (if you're using a mixer, stir in the last four ingredients with a spoon).
Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls on an ungreased cookie sheet and baked for about 10 minutes, or until golden brown.
Cool slightly before removing from cookie sheet.
Makes several dozen depending on how big your "drops" are and how much of the dough you eat while you're dropping.
