Chived Mashed Potatoes Recipe - Cooking Index
1 1/2 cups | 355ml | Hot water |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Salt |
1/8 teaspoon | 0.6ml | Pepper |
3 tablespoons | 45ml | Butter or margarine |
1/2 cup | 118ml | Milk or light cream |
1 1/2 cups | 355ml | Instant mashed potato flakes |
1/3 cup | 78ml | Sour cream |
1/4 cup | 36g / 1.3oz | Finely chopped parsley |
3 tablespoons | 45ml | Freeze-dried chives |
1 | Egg - slightly beaten |
1. Combine water, salt, pepper and butter in a deep, 1 1/2-quart heat-resistant, non-metallic casserole.
2. Heat uncovered, in Microwave Oven 4 minutes or until mixture boils.
3. Add milk.
4. Stir in potato flakes with a fork.
5. Stir in remaining ingredients until well blended.
6. Heat uncovered, in Microwave Oven 3 minutes or until heated through.
