Chinese Chicken Wings Recipe - Cooking Index
1 cup | 237ml | Soy sauce |
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Allspice - ground |
1/3 cup | 65g / 2.3oz | Sugar |
6 | Scallions - sliced thin | |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Vegetable oil |
16 | Chicken wings | |
1 1/2 teaspoons | 7.5ml | Ginger - ground |
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Anise - ground |
Mix the soy sauce, anise, allspice, ginger and oil in a large bowl. Mix in the sugar until dissolved. Stir in the scallions. Add the chicken wings to the marinade.
Toss to coat thoroughly. Cover with plastic wrap. Marinate, refrigerated, for 8 hours or longer.
Preheat the oven to 375F. Drain the chicken wings. Reserve the marinade. Place the wings in a (9"x12") baking dish.
Bake until golden brown (40-60 minutes-depending on how crisp you want them). Baste 2 or 3 times with the marinade while baking
